If offer an initial free 30 minute complementary call so you can see if I am a right fit for you and we can check that I can provide what you are looking for. There is no obligation or pressure to book a consultation.

Before your first nutritional therapy consultation you will be sent a detailed questionnaire about your health, diet and lifestyle which you will need to return a minimum of 5 days before your consultation.

There will also be some forms to sign such a terms of engagement and consent forms.

Your first nutritional therapy consultation will last up between 60-90 minutes.  It will start with a discussion about your health priorities and goals and about the questionnaire that you have filled in.  This will be followed by an explanation about some of the possible contributing diet and lifestyle factors underlying your health concerns. 

We will then work together to create an achievable and realistic treatment programme which may involve changes to your diet and lifestyle.  Nutritional supplements and biochemical testing may also be recommended to address any nutritional deficiencies and biochemical imbalances.  These are totally optional.

After your consultation, Emma will be available by phone or email for brief questions concerning your programme.  Please be aware that more detailed questions may require an additional consultation.

It is recommended that you return for a follow-up consultation after 2 weeks to evaluate your progress and make further adjustments to your programme.  On average 3-6 consultations are required, but this may be more depending on your health condition.

Yes, laboratory tests and simple home tests may be recommended to find the root cause of your symptoms.  This is totally optional and will take into account budget and circumstances.

As the quality of soil has decreased, processed food has become the norm and foods are more shipped from all over the world, it has become increasingly difficult to get sufficient nutrients from our food.  For this reason, in certain cases supplements may be recommended to provide therapeutic amounts of nutrients to address a particular problem.  These can be obtained from the Natural Dispensary, where a client discount will be offered.

Consultations are either held online using Google Meet or at the Healthful Mind Clinic & Wellbeing centre in West Moors.

The initial consultation is usually between 60-90 minutes.  After that they can be between 20 – 60 minutes depending on which package you have chosen and how much support you need.

Supplements and biochemical or nutrigenomic testing will be discussed in the consultation if appropriate but are completely optional and are at additional cost. 

Fees are agreed in advance of the appointment and are paid in advance. Package fees are paid in full in advance of the first appointment or in instalments by arrangement. Payments can be made by bank transfer or cash.

Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice and ‘no shows’ will be charged in full.

In the case of advance payments for services, you have the right to cancel this Agreement within 14 days of the purchase without penalty (‘Cooling-off Period’). If you wish to terminate the agreement within the 14-day Cooling-off Period, you must do so in writing to emma@individualhealth.co.uk. Individual Health will refund any monies paid prior to cancelling this Agreement. If the services have commenced during the 14-day Cooling-off Period, Individual Health will refund any monies due to you for services not yet provided. The refund payment will be made within 14 days of cancellation.  

A significant amount of work is usually carried out in preparation for the consultation once the intake forms have been received so work commences prior to the initial consultation. This needs to be taken into account if a refund is required.
